These phones include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S6 Edge has older 5.0 version while Moto Z has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Galaxy S6 Edge construction is a little lighter than Moto Z, although it's notably thicker and was released about a year before.

The Galaxy S6 Edge features a brighter screen than Motorola Moto Z, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have the same exact 2560 x 1440px resolution, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a little bit greater pixels density. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a better processing unit than Motorola Moto Z, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit, a greater number of cores and a 64-bits processing unit.

The Moto Z counts with a very superior storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. Moto Z shoots much better videos and photos than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a less mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and a worse video quality, it also counts with a larger aperture to capture better images and video in low-light environments.

The Galaxy S6 Edge's battery performance is just as good as Moto Z's battery duration.

In addition to being the best phone between the ones we are comparing, Galaxy S6 Edge is also cheaper than the Moto Z.
