Comparison review

Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is much better than Motorola Moto Z's 74.5 overall score. The Xperia 1 design is newer than the Motorola Moto Z's, but it's thicker and much heavier. Xperia 1 has a bit faster CPU than Motorola Moto Z, because it has 2 GB more RAM and a higher number of cores.

Xperia 1 features a better screen than Motorola Moto Z, because it has a little bit higher pixel amount per inch in the display, a higher 1644 x 3840px resolution and a bigger display. Xperia 1 counts with a quite bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Moto Z, because although it has an external memory slot that allows 1,45 TB smaller, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory.

Xperia 1 has greater battery lifetime than Moto Z, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh. The Sony Xperia 1 counts with a slightly better camera than Moto Z, because although it has a back facing camera with a lower 12 mega-pixels resolution and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to take better low-light images and videos.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Moto Z, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Moto Z. If you want to save some money, you can get Moto Z, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
