Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is much better than the Moto Z's general score of 74.5. Even though Xperia XZ2 Premium is newer than the Moto Z, it's a lot thicker and way heavier. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much sharper display than Moto Z, because it has a better screen pixels density, a lot higher 2160 x 3840 resolution and a little bit bigger display.

The Moto Z features a better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit faster processing unit than Motorola Moto Z, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a greater number of faster cores.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a superior battery duration than Motorola Moto Z, because it has a 36 percent larger battery size. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a slightly better camera than Motorola Moto Z, and although they both have a same size camera aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution.

Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Moto Z, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto Z. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia XZ2 Premium, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Moto Z, giving up a couple specs and features.
