Moto Z3 is a little bit better than the Moto Z, getting a 77.6 score against 74.5. These phones include Android OS, but the Moto Z3 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Moto Z has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it counts with a lot of extra features and optimized performance. Moto Z3's body is newer, but heavier and noticeably thicker than the Moto Z.

The Moto Z counts with a little more vivid display than Moto Z3, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2560px resolution and a better pixels density. The Moto Z3 counts with a bit better processing power than Moto Z, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Moto Z3 also has a higher number of cores.
