Comparison review

Xperia 5 is just a bit better than Motorola Moto Z4, with a global score of 81 against 79.8. Even though Xperia 5 and Motorola Moto Z4 were only released 4 months apart, the Xperia 5 design is a bit lighter but a little thicker. Xperia 5 counts with a little bit better screen than Motorola Moto Z4, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater pixels amount per inch in the display and a little bit higher 1080 x 2520 resolution.

The Moto Z4 and the Xperia 5 count with really similar memory to install games and applications, both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Xperia 5 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Moto Z4, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 5 also has a higher amount of RAM.

The Motorola Moto Z4 has a little longer battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity. The Motorola Moto Z4 features a much better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Motorola Moto Z4 also counts with a much larger back camera sensor which gives a way better image and video quality and a way more mega-pixels back facing camera.

Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Motorola Moto Z4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Moto Z4. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola Moto Z4, letting go a couple specs and features.
