Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is just a bit better than Motorola One, getting a 79.8 score against 74.3. These phones come with Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version and Motorola One has Android 9.0 Pie version. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium's body has the same thickness than the Motorola One, but it is heavier.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has an incredibly better looking screen than Motorola One, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with way more pixels per inch of display and a lot better 3840 x 2160 resolution. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Motorola One, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an additional graphics processor.

Motorola One counts with a lot bigger storage to install games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 32 GB more internal memory and an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a superior camera than Motorola One, and although they both have the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a back facing camera with a lot better 23 MP resolution and a bigger diafragm aperture for better photos and videos in poorly lited environments.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has just a little better battery life than Motorola One, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.

Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Motorola One, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola One. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia Z5 Premium, else you can save some money and get the Motorola One, giving up a couple specifications.
