The Motorola razr (2020) is better than Moto Z3 Play, having an 87 score against 76.3. The Motorola razr (2020) body is noticeably newer, but thicker and heavier than the Moto Z3 Play. The Moto Z3 Play counts with a little sharper display than Motorola razr (2020), because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch of display and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2160.
Moto Z3 Play features a better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola razr (2020), because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The Motorola razr (2020) counts with a little faster CPU than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Motorola razr (2020) also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Moto Z3 Play has just a bit longer battery duration than Motorola razr (2020), because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity instead of 2800mAh. Motorola razr (2020) takes better videos and photos than Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the same video frame rates and a F1.7 diafragm aperture, the Motorola razr (2020) also has a lot more megapixels back-facing camera and a lot larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Although Motorola razr (2020) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Moto Z3 Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Moto Z3 Play. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Moto Z3 Play, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
