HTC Desire S is just a bit better than the Nokia 500, getting a 52.2 score against 47.5. HTC Desire S's construction is somewhat thinner but a lot heavier than Nokia 500, and both were released only a few months apart. HTC Desire S works with Android 2.3.5 operating system, while Nokia 500 comes with Symbian Belle operating system.

HTC Desire S features a little faster processing unit than Nokia 500, and although they both have a Single-Core processor, the HTC Desire S also has 512 MB more RAM and an extra graphics processing unit.
