Nokia 500 Review

Nokia 500 is a not so powerful Symbian device released back in 2011, featuring a powerful 1 gigahertz CPU, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a medium sized 3.2-inches capacitive display.

This phone is 4.38 inches long and 2.12" wide, it just holds a much smaller 3.2" screen. This phone is a little bit thick compared to nowadays cellphones, with its 0.56 inches thickness. This time, it seems like Nokia forgot about optimizing the weight in this 3.28 oz phone. This cellphone is available in a lot of color variations: black, purple, orange, green, blue and gray.

Nokia decided to design the Nokia 500 using a good performance processing unit speeding at 1 gigahertz with only 256 MB of RAM. This phone has a 2 GB internal memory, a decent amount that should be fine for most users knowing that the Nokia 500 also has an SD card slot .

This cellphone has a good looking 640 x 360 3.2-inches display, which makes everything look great. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This cellphone only has a 5 MP back facing camera. This device also captures videos up to 640x480 (VGA) at 15 fps.

This cellphone features a poor capacity 1110 mAh Li-Ion removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding device like this. This phone has a reported talk time of 7 hours and a stand by time of 504 hours.

This device counts with wi-fi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a router or modem) and fast 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This device also includes some useful features such as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is priced about 249 dollars, not a really offer for this kind of phone.
