GIGABYTE GSmart Saga S3 Review

GIGABYTE GSmart Saga S3 is a decent quality phone released in March 2014, with an exceptional 1300 MHz Quad-Core processing unit, a big size 6-inches display, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 MP front facing camera.

This cellphone is extremely thin and practical, being just 0.33 inches thick. The GIGABYTE GSmart Saga S3 is only 6.61 inches long and 3.27 inches wide, but it's still able to fit a a 6" screen. Gigabyte has made an amazing design job making this phone weight just 6.7 oz.

This cellphone ships with a MediaTek MT6582 system chip, backed up by a very powerful 1.3 GHz Quad-Core CPU with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little poor comparing with its impressive processor. Helping with graphic calculations, this device also uses a 416 megahertz ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU. The GIGABYTE GSmart Saga S3 counts with an 8 GB quite big internal storage memory and an SD memory slot, which allows the user to store hundreds of apps without any trouble.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera. In addition, the camera has auto-focus and flash.

This cellphone is equipped with a nice 6" screen with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes all images and movies look very good. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The GIGABYTE GSmart Saga S3 counts with wifi connection (but it can't share it with other devices acting as a modem or router), HSPA+ (4G) internet connection, which is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and the fastest 3G internet connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone uses 2 SIM cards so it can to use two different phone numbers and even different carriers at the same time.

This phone also comes with a couple of useful features like Bluetooth (4.0), GPS and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The GIGABYTE GSmart Saga S3 counts with a 3000 mAh big capacity Li-Ion removable battery that provides this phone an impressive battery life. According to Gigabyte, this phone has a reported 255 hs stand by time and a 12 hs talk time.

Gigabyte is offering this phone for $ 155, which is a really high price for comparing with similar phones.
