Sony Xperia M Review

Sony Xperia M is a mid-end phone released some years ago, in 2013, counting with a 4" multi touch capacitive screen, a powerful Dual-Core processor speeding at 1 GHz, and two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

This cellphone feels much lighter than what one would think about a phone this size. This phone is sold in a lot of color variations like black, purple, yellow and white. This cellphone has a gorgeous design, with a thickness of just 0.37".

This cellphone has a good level 4 inches display with a 854 x 480 resolution, providing this cellphone with a very nice graphic quality. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

Sony sells the Sony Xperia M with a powerful Dual-Core processor clocking at 1 GHz, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8227 chip with 1 GB RAM. Graphic intensive applications often uses lots of processing power, so this device also counts with a 450 megahertz Adreno 305 graphics processing unit to improve overall performance. This phone comes with a medium 4 GB internal storage memory, which is enough for most users considering that it also has an external memory slot to store photographs and videos and even some games and apps that allow being installed in the external memory.

This device features Wi-Fi capability (and it can be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ data connection, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and fast 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Sony Xperia M uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

The Sony Xperia M has two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. It is capable of filming HD 1280x720 videos. Additionally, the camera counts with a couple of interesting characteristics like auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This device has a 1750 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion removable battery that can keep this device running for many hours, but you may need to charge it after some moderate use. According to Sony, this cellphone has an aproximate 10.3 hs talk time and a 498 hours stand by time.

This phone also comes with a handful of useful features like NFC, Bluetooth (enables communication with other devices, computers and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Sony is selling the Sony Xperia M for $ 140, which is not cheap for this type of device. No matter if you want a cellphone for playing games or need a device majorly for internet broswing and social networks, this cellphone is definitely a very good choice for you.
