Galaxy A8 Star is much better than the Nokia 8.1, with an 82.1 score against 72.1. Galaxy A8 Star's body is a little thinner but a little bit heavier than Nokia 8.1, and both were released with only a couple of months difference. Both phones we are comparing here have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while Nokia 8.1 has Android 10 version, providing some nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Galaxy A8 Star counts with a bit superior processing unit than Nokia 8.1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a larger amount of RAM. The Nokia 8.1 counts with a little more vivid display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2280 resolution and a little greater screen pixels density.
The Galaxy A8 Star takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Nokia 8.1, because although it has a smaller sensor taking lower quality pictures and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy A8 Star also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better images in low light situations and a back camera with a much better resolution.
Galaxy A8 Star's storage for apps and games is just as good as Nokia 8.1's one, they have the same internal memory and a SD card slot that admits up to 400 GB. Galaxy A8 Star has just a bit longer battery life than Nokia 8.1, because it has a 6% more battery size.
