Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A42 has a general score of 87, which is better than the OnePlus 8 UW's score of 75.9. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has a newer 11 version while OnePlus 8 UW has Android 10 version, so it gives some additional features and increased performance. Although it's the best phone in this comparison, we must note that it is also a little bit heavier and just a little thicker.
The OnePlus 8 UW counts with a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 UW also has 4 GB more RAM. OnePlus 8 UW has a way better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and a much greater pixels amount per inch in the display.
OnePlus 8 UW features a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, a F1.8 diafragm aperture and a same resolution back-facing camera, the OnePlus 8 UW also has better video frame rate. Galaxy A42 has greater battery lifetime than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
