Comparison review

Sony Xperia XZ1 is just a bit better than OnePlus 8, getting a 78.3 score against 76. The Sony Xperia XZ1 design is lighter and a little thinner than OnePlus 8, although it was released many years before. OnePlus 8 has a little bit better processing power than Sony Xperia XZ1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The OnePlus 8 has a slightly better looking screen than Sony Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little worse pixel density, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a larger screen. OnePlus 8 has a much better camera than Xperia XZ1, and although they both have the same video definition, the OnePlus 8 also has a larger aperture to take better low-light photos and videos, a camera with way more megapixels, faster video frame rates and a bigger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality.

Xperia XZ1 features a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than OnePlus 8, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. OnePlus 8 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 2700mAh.

Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as OnePlus 8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get OnePlus 8, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
