Comparison review

The Xperia XZ3 has an overall score of 79.6, which is slightly better than OnePlus 8's general score of 76. Although it's the best device in our current comparison, Xperia XZ3 is an older, just a bit heavier and extremely thicker device than OnePlus 8. Xperia XZ3 has a slightly better looking screen than OnePlus 8, because although it has much worse brightness and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2880px and a higher pixels amount per screen inch.

OnePlus 8 features a bit better processing power than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the OnePlus 8 also has 4 GB more RAM. Sony Xperia XZ3 has a quite bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than OnePlus 8, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.

The OnePlus 8 has a much better camera than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the OnePlus 8 also has a back-facing camera with way more megapixels, higher 60 fps video frame rates, a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing higher quality photographs and videos and a larger camera aperture for better low-light captures and videos.

The OnePlus 8 has longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZ3, because it has a 29% bigger battery size.

Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 8. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia XZ3, else you can save some dollars and buy the OnePlus 8, resigning a couple features and specs.
