Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 5s has a score of 76.4, which is just a bit better than OnePlus 8's 76 general score. Even though the Xiaomi Mi 5s is a lot older and just a bit thicker than OnePlus 8, it's construction is still lighter. The OnePlus 8 has a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a bit lower pixels density, it also counts with a really brighter display, a bigger screen and a little higher 1080 x 2400px resolution.
The OnePlus 8 features a bit more powerful processor than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 4 more cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with as much memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as OnePlus 8, both of them have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity.
OnePlus 8 features improved battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 34 percent greater battery size. The OnePlus 8 takes a lot better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the OnePlus 8 also has a larger back camera sensor which offers a better photo and video quality, better video frame rates, a lot higher resolution camera in the back and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better images and video in low-light environments.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it costs a little more than the OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the OnePlus 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 5s, else you can save some dollars and get the OnePlus 8, giving up some features and specs.
