Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is better than the OPPO Reno's overall score of 72.8. These phones come with the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (operating system), so both should count with all the same OS features. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is an older and just a little bit heavier phone than the OPPO Reno, but Samsung managed to make it somewhat thinner anyway.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star and OPPO Reno both feature very similar processing units, and although the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has less RAM, they both have 8 cpu cores. The OPPO Reno features just a bit better looking display than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a little better pixel count per display inch, a little bit larger screen and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2340.
The OPPO Reno features a much better camera than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, a F1.7 diafragm aperture and the same video frame rates, the OPPO Reno also has a way bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a much higher image quality and a back camera with way more megapixels.
The OPPO Reno features a better memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. OPPO Reno and Galaxy A8 Star have similar battery performance, although the Galaxy A8 Star has 3700mAh of battery capacity against 3765mAh.
