Samsung Focus has a score of 55.9, which is just a bit better than the HTC Hero S's 55.8 score. Even though the Samsung Focus is older than the HTC Hero S, it's construction is somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter. Samsung Focus counts with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS, and HTC Hero S has Android 2.3 OS.

The HTC Hero S has a little better hardware performance than Samsung Focus, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have 1 cores, the HTC Hero S also counts with more RAM memory. HTC Hero S features a bit sharper screen than Samsung Focus, and although they both have a display with the same size, the HTC Hero S also has a little bit higher pixels density and a slightly better 960 x 540 resolution.

HTC Hero S features a better memory for applications and games than Samsung Focus, although it has 0 less internal memory. The HTC Hero S's battery life is just as good as Samsung Focus's battery performance, although the HTC Hero S also has 1520mAh of battery capacity instead of 1500mAh. The HTC Hero S takes way better photos and videos than Samsung Focus, and although they both have the same resolution back facing camera and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the HTC Hero S also has better video frame rate.

Although Samsung Focus is a better device, it costs a bit more money than HTC Hero S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC Hero S. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung Focus, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the HTC Hero S, resigning a couple features and specifications.
