Motorola Edge 40 Pro has an overall score of 83.4, which is slightly better than Galaxy A40's 79.6 score. Both phones in our current comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a more recent 13 version and Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version. Although Motorola Edge 40 Pro is much newer than the Galaxy A40, it's notably heavier and just a bit thicker.

Samsung Galaxy A40 has a much better performing CPU than Motorola Edge 40 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Motorola Edge 40 Pro features a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a little lower count of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a quite bigger screen.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro takes much better videos and photos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier aperture, it also counts with a much better video quality, a camera in the back with much more megapixels and a lot larger camera sensor. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro counts with a better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A40, because it has a 4600mAh battery capacity instead of 3100mAh.
