Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is slightly better than Galaxy A40, having a general score of 82.1 against 79.6. Even though Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is a lot newer than Galaxy A40, it is somewhat thicker and notably heavier. Both of these phones use Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy A13 5G has newer 12 version and Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version.
