Samsung Galaxy A50 has a score of 83.8, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A40's global score of 79.6. Even though Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Samsung Galaxy A40 were released only a couple months apart, the Samsung Galaxy A50 design is heavier but just a bit thinner. The Galaxy A50 features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy A40. Both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount.

The Galaxy A40 has a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have an equal 1080 x 2340px resolution, the Galaxy A40 also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch of screen. The Samsung Galaxy A50 counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the same video frame rates, a 0.36 inches back-facing camera sensor and a same size aperture, the Samsung Galaxy A50 also has a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A50 counts with a very superior memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB, the Samsung Galaxy A50 also has 64 GB more internal storage. The Galaxy A50 has better battery performance than Galaxy A40, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity against 3100mAh.
