Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy A40 has a general score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy J8's 76.7 overall score. Samsung Galaxy A40 is a newer cellphone, and it is also just a bit thinner and extremely lighter than Galaxy J8. Both of these phones come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A40 has a more recent 11 version while Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features and optimized performance.

Galaxy J8's CPU is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy A40 one, both of them have 8 cores and a 4 GB RAM. Galaxy A40 has a better looking screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way greater pixels count per inch of screen and a way better resolution of 1080 x 2340px.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 and Galaxy A40 count with quite similar cameras, they have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, a same size sensor, a same size aperture and a 16 mega-pixels camera in the back. Galaxy A40 counts with a slightly better storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy J8, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A40 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 512 GB.

The Galaxy J8 features just a little bit longer battery life than Galaxy A40, because it has a 3500mAh battery capacity.
