Comparison review
Galaxy A42 is much better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), getting an 87 score against 77.4. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A42 has older 11 version while Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie. Galaxy A42 is a newer phone than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), but it's a little thicker and a bit heavier.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a bit better processor than Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) also has more RAM memory. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a better looking display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and a lot more pixels per inch of screen.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) counts with a bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy A42, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Samsung Galaxy A42 captures much better photos and videos than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, a F1.8 aperture and the same (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a much higher 48 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a battery lifetime that is very similar to the battery life in Galaxy A42.
