The Galaxy A42 has a general score of 87, which is just a bit better than Google Pixel 2 XL's general score of 82.5. The Galaxy A42 body is way newer, but just a little bit thicker and just a little heavier than Google Pixel 2 XL. Google Pixel 2 XL features a way better looking display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution and a lot better screen pixel density.
Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 1000 GB. The Google Pixel 2 XL has just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy A42. They have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores.
Samsung Galaxy A42 captures better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the same 30 fps video frame rates and a same size camera aperture, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a back camera with lot more mega-pixels. Galaxy A42 has a way better battery life than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
