Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 has a score of 87, which is much better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 general score. Both of these phones have Android OS, but the Galaxy A42 has a more recent 11 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0. The Galaxy A42 construction is notably newer and somewhat thinner, but also somewhat heavier than the HTC One M9.
The HTC One M9 counts with an incredibly better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a much higher display pixel density and a better resolution of 1920 x 1080px. Galaxy A42 counts with a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than HTC One M9, because it has 128 GB internal memory and an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.
HTC One M9 counts with a little better processing power than Galaxy A42, because although it has less RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and a graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy A42 shoots clearer photographs and videos than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a back facing camera with way more mega pixels and a bigger camera aperture to capture better photography in poorly lited situations.
Galaxy A42 features a much longer battery performance than HTC One M9, because it has a 76 percent more battery size.
