Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has a global score of 90.5, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A42's global score of 87. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G construction is older, a bit heavier and just a little thicker than Samsung Galaxy A42. Both of these phones include Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has older 10 version while Samsung Galaxy A42 has Android 11.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G counts with a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G also has 4 GB more RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G counts with a better display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much better screen density and a lot better resolution of 1176 x 2400.
Galaxy A42 counts with a better storage for games and applications than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, because although it has only 128 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external SD slot that admits up to 1000 GB. Galaxy A42 counts with just a bit better battery life than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy A42, because although it has a worse video definition and a lower 40 mega-pixels resolution back camera, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture for better low-light photography and video.
