Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X is a bit better than the Galaxy A42, with a overall score of 89.4 against 87. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate X has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy A42 has Android 11, so it provides the user some additional features. Although the Huawei Mate X is better than Galaxy A42, it must be noted that it is also older, noticeably thicker and a lot heavier.
The Huawei Mate X features a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate X also has 4 GB more RAM. The Huawei Mate X counts with a more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because it has a bigger screen, a way higher number of pixels per screen inch and a lot higher 2200 x 2480 resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 captures a lot better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate X, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a back camera with more mega-pixels. The Huawei Mate X features more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A42, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a bit better battery performance than Huawei Mate X, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
