Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 is slightly better than LG G7 ThinQ, having a overall score of 87 against 81. The Galaxy A42 construction is noticeably newer than LG G7 ThinQ's, although it is just a bit thicker and heavier. Both phones in this comparison review use Android operating system, but Galaxy A42 has an older 11 version and LG G7 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie version.
LG G7 ThinQ counts with just a little better processing power than Galaxy A42. Both have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount. The LG G7 ThinQ features a much sharper display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater display density and a way higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px.
Samsung Galaxy A42 takes a bit better photos and videos than LG G7 ThinQ, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rates and a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low light photography, and they both have the same video definition, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a back-facing camera with a way better resolution.
