Comparison review
Galaxy A42 is a little bit better than LG G8X ThinQ, getting a score of 87 against 82.7. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A42 has 11 version and LG G8X ThinQ has Android 10, counting with lots of additional features and improved performance. Even though Galaxy A42 is newer than the LG G8X ThinQ, it is a little thicker and a bit heavier.
LG G8X ThinQ features just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG G8X ThinQ also has 2 GB more RAM. The LG G8X ThinQ counts with a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher display density and a lot better 1080 x 2340px resolution.
LG G8X ThinQ has more memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory, the LG G8X ThinQ also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Galaxy A42 features improved battery performance than LG G8X ThinQ, because it has a 25% larger battery size.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 features a bit better camera than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has worse video frame rates, and they both have a same size diafragm aperture and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a back facing camera with a much higher resolution.
