The LG Velvet is a bit better than Galaxy A42, having an 87.1 score against 87. Although LG Velvet and the Galaxy A42 were released only a couple months apart, LG Velvet is just a little bit thinner and a little bit lighter. LG Velvet has a much better display than Galaxy A42, because it has a lot higher 1080 x 2460 resolution, a higher pixel density and a quite bigger screen.
The LG Velvet counts with just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG Velvet also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The LG Velvet shoots clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A42. They have a F1.8 aperture, a same resolution back facing camera, the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution.
LG Velvet has a greater memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy A42, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the LG Velvet also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Galaxy A42 has greater battery lifetime than LG Velvet, because it has a 16 percent larger battery capacity.
