Samsung Galaxy A42 is a little bit better than Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, having a general score of 87 against 82.6. The Samsung Galaxy A42 construction is a little lighter and a little thinner than the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, although both of them were released with only a couple of months difference.

The Motorola Moto G 5G Plus has a bit better CPU than Galaxy A42. They have a 4 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processor. Moto G 5G Plus has a more vivid display than Galaxy A42, because it has a way greater number of pixels per inch in the screen, a little bit bigger display and a lot higher 1080 x 2520 resolution.

Galaxy A42 features more memory for games and applications than Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1000 GB, the Galaxy A42 also has 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Motorola Moto G 5G Plus shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and a same resolution back camera, the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus also has a larger aperture for better captures and videos in low-light situations.

The Moto G 5G Plus's battery life is very similar to the Galaxy A42 one.
