The Galaxy A42 is much better than Galaxy A20s, getting a overall score of 87 against 77. Both devices in this review include the same Android 11 operating system, so both of them should provide you all the same OS features. Although Galaxy A42 is newer than the Galaxy A20s, it's a little heavier and a little bit thicker.
Samsung Galaxy A42 features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy A20s. They have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. Galaxy A20s features a screen that is just as good as the Galaxy A42 one, although the Galaxy A20s has a just a bit worse screen pixels density, a little bit lower 720 x 1560px resolution and a little bit smaller screen.
The Galaxy A42 takes much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy A20s, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the Galaxy A42 also has a much more megapixels back camera and a lot higher 3840x2160 video resolution. The Galaxy A42 counts with a much bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A20s, because it has 64 GB more internal memory capacity and a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 1000 GB.
