The Galaxy A42 is better than Galaxy A21, with a score of 87 against 76.1. The Galaxy A42 body has the same weight than Galaxy A21, but it is just a bit thicker. Both phones in this review have Android operating system, but Galaxy A42 has a more recent 11 version and Galaxy A21 has Android 10, so it gives you a couple nice extra features and optimized performance.
The Samsung Galaxy A21 has a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 720 x 1600, the Samsung Galaxy A21 also counts with a bit greater pixels density. The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a much bigger memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A21, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 1000 GB.
Samsung Galaxy A21 has a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A42, although it has 1 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
