Comparison review
Galaxy A42 has a score of 87, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy A50s's 86.6 general score. Even though the Galaxy A42 is newer than Galaxy A50s, it is somewhat thicker and heavier. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS, but Galaxy A42 has a newer 11 version and Galaxy A50s has Android 10 version.
The Samsung Galaxy A50s features a little bit better performance than Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy A50s also has a higher amount of RAM. Galaxy A50s features a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater pixel amount per inch of display and a way better 1080 x 2340 resolution.
The Galaxy A42 counts with a slightly better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A50s, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy A42 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 1000 GB. The Galaxy A50s shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy A42, although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for shooting pictures and videos in poorly lited situations, they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the same resolution camera in the back and the same 30 fps video frame rates.
Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with greater battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A50s, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
