The Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy A73 5G's 80.5 overall score. These phones come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A42 has an older 11 version and Galaxy A73 5G has Android 12 version. Even being the best cellphone in this review, the Galaxy A42 body is somewhat thicker and just a little heavier than the Galaxy A73 5G.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G features a better screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because it has a little larger display, a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and more pixels per inch of display. Samsung Galaxy A73 5G features a bit more memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G also has a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1 TB.
The Galaxy A42 has a much better performing processing unit than Galaxy A73 5G, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Galaxy A73 5G's battery lifetime is very similar to the Galaxy A42 one. Galaxy A42 features just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, although it has a camera with a way lower 48 MP resolution, they both have the same camera aperture.
