Comparison review
Galaxy A42 is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy M21, having a global score of 87 against 84.1. Both phones in our current comparison use the same Android 11 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that. Even though the Galaxy A42 and the Samsung Galaxy M21 were only released with a few months difference, Galaxy A42's design is a little thinner but a little bit heavier.
The Samsung Galaxy M21 has a more vivid display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way better display pixels density and a way higher 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. Galaxy M21 features just a little better performance than Galaxy A42. Both have 4 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 features a lot bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy M21, because it has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB and more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy M21 features longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, because it has a 20% more battery capacity.
Galaxy M21 captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy A42, although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light images and video, they both have the same resolution back facing camera, the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same video frame rate.
