Comparison review
Galaxy Note 20 is slightly better than Galaxy A42, having a overall score of 90.8 against 87. Even though the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy A42 were released with only 3 months difference, Galaxy Note 20's body is just a little bit heavier but also a little bit thinner. Galaxy Note 20 has a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy Note 20 also has 4 GB more RAM.
The Galaxy Note 20 has a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because it has a little bit larger screen, a higher amount of pixels per screen inch and a way better 1080 x 2400 resolution. Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Note 20, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 1000 GB.
Galaxy A42 features superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note 20, because it has a 5000mAh battery size. Galaxy A42 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture and the same (4K) video definition, the Galaxy A42 also has a much higher resolution back camera and better video frame rates.
