Samsung Galaxy A42 has an overall score of 87, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro's general score of 80.1. Samsung Galaxy A42's construction is incredibly thinner and lighter than Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro, although both of them were only released with a couple months difference. These devices include Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has the previous 11 version and Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
The Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher display pixels density and a way higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px. Samsung Galaxy A42 features a way bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy XCover FieldPro, because it has more internal storage and a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and 8 cpu cores.
