Comparison review
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a global score of 94.6, which is slightly better than the Galaxy A42's 87 global score. Even though the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy A42 were released with only 2 months difference, Galaxy Z Fold 2's body is notably heavier but also incredibly thinner than the Galaxy A42. These devices include the same Android 11 OS.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a much better looking display than Galaxy A42, because it has a larger screen, a way better 1768 x 2208 resolution and a higher pixels amount per inch in the display. Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has only 128 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Galaxy A42 has just a bit longer battery life than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4500mAh.
The Galaxy A42 shoots a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has lower video frame rates, and they both have the same diafragm aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy A42 also counts with a camera with lot more megapixels.
