Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 is a little bit better than the Xperia Z5 Premium, having an 87 score against 79.8. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy A42 has a newer 11 version while Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1 version. Even though the Galaxy A42 is newer than the Xperia Z5 Premium, it's a little heavier and a little bit thicker.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an extra graphics processor. Xperia Z5 Premium features a much sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a much better amount of pixels per inch of display.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a little bit better camera than Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels. Galaxy A42 has a much better storage to store more games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1000 GB and 128 GB internal storage.
