The Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is much better than the Xiaomi 12T Pro's 76.9 general score. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A42 has older 11 version while Xiaomi 12T Pro has Android 12 version. The Galaxy A42 design has the same thickness than Xiaomi 12T Pro, but it's a bit lighter.
Galaxy A42 has a lot better performance than Xiaomi 12T Pro, although it has less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi 12T Pro features just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because it has a bit bigger screen, a lot higher 1220 x 2712px resolution and a much higher amount of pixels per display inch.
Xiaomi 12T Pro captures much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy A42, because it has a larger diafragm aperture for better captures and video in poorly lited situations and a camera in the back with a much higher resolution. The Galaxy A42 has a superior memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi 12T Pro, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A42 also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
Xiaomi 12T Pro's battery duration is just as good as the battery lifetime in Galaxy A42.
