The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Black Shark 3's 86.6 general score. Even when the Samsung Galaxy A42 and Xiaomi Black Shark 3 were released only a couple of months apart, the Samsung Galaxy A42 is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner. Both of these phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has the newer 11 version while Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has Android 10 version, counting with lots of additional features and optimized performance.
Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a more vivid screen than Galaxy A42, because it has a much better 1080 x 2400px resolution, a quite bigger display and a higher pixel density. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 captures better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same aperture and the same video quality, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has a camera in the back with lot more mega pixels and better video frame rate.
