Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Poco X2's score of 79.3. Galaxy A42 is a a bit lighter and just a little bit thinner phone than Xiaomi Poco X2, although both of them were released with only a few months difference. Both of these phones work with the same Android 11 OS.
The Xiaomi Poco X2 features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Poco X2 also has 2 GB more RAM. Xiaomi Poco X2 features a much better looking screen than Galaxy A42, because it has a little bit larger display, more pixels per screen inch and a way higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px.
Samsung Galaxy A42 has a very superior memory to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Poco X2, because it has more internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 1000 GB. Xiaomi Poco X2 features a bit better camera than Galaxy A42, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Poco X2 also counts with a much more MP back camera.
The Galaxy A42 has just a little bit longer battery duration than Xiaomi Poco X2, because it has an 11% more battery capacity.
