Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi 9T, with a global score of 87 against 78.2. Even though the Galaxy A42 and Xiaomi Redmi 9T were released with only 2 months difference, the Galaxy A42 is somewhat thinner and a little lighter. These phones include Android operating system, but the Galaxy A42 has the newer 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi 9T has Android 10 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features.
Galaxy A42 features a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi 9T. They have 8 cores and 4 GB of RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi 9T has a better screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a greater display density and a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2340.
Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy A42 captures slightly better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, and although they both have the same resolution back camera and a same size aperture, the Galaxy A42 also has a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Xiaomi Redmi 9T counts with greater battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 5000mAh.
