The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a general score of 87, which is a little bit better than the ZTE Axon 10 Pro's 80.2 general score. Both phones in this review come with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy A42 has a newer 11 version and ZTE Axon 10 Pro has Android 10, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and performance enhancements. The Samsung Galaxy A42 design is newer than ZTE Axon 10 Pro's, but it's a little thicker and a little heavier.
ZTE Axon 10 Pro has a better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a greater screen pixel density. ZTE Axon 10 Pro has a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the ZTE Axon 10 Pro also has 8 GB more RAM.
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro features a lot bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A42, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1,95 TB and more internal storage capacity. Galaxy A42 has better battery life than ZTE Axon 10 Pro, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro captures slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy A42, and although they both have a same resolution back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the ZTE Axon 10 Pro also has faster 60 frames per second video frame rates and a larger diafragm aperture.
