Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a global score of 81.9, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy A5 (2017)'s general score of 75.8. Even being the best in this review, we must note that it is also way heavier and noticeably thicker. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have 8 cores, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active also has 1 GB more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has a bit bigger display, a greater pixels density and a way higher resolution of 1440 x 2960. Galaxy S8 Active takes just a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a back camera with much less mega-pixels, it also counts with a lot better video quality and a bigger aperture to capture better low light photos.
