LG Velvet is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), getting a general score of 87.1 against 79.2. LG Velvet's construction is incredibly newer and a bit thinner, but a little heavier than the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018). The Galaxy A8 (2018) features just a bit better display than LG Velvet, because although it has a little smaller screen and a little lower 1080 x 2220 pixels resolution, it also counts with a little greater amount of pixels per inch in the display.
The LG Velvet has a way bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. LG Velvet features a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG Velvet also has more RAM.
The LG Velvet takes much better photographs and videos than Galaxy A8 (2018), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, it also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lot better resolution back facing camera. LG Velvet features a much better battery life than Galaxy A8 (2018), because it has a 43 percent greater battery size.
