The Galaxy A8 (2018) has a general score of 79.2, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)'s score of 75.8. The Galaxy A8 (2018) is a newer cellphone than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), although it's just a little thicker and a little bit heavier. Galaxy A8 (2018) features a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has a slightly better 1080 x 2220px resolution, a bit bigger display and a quite better pixels density.

The Galaxy A8 (2018) has a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A8 (2018) also has a higher amount of RAM. Galaxy A8 (2018) features a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have an external memory slot that allows up to 256 GB, the Galaxy A8 (2018) also has 64 GB internal memory capacity.
