Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is a little bit better than the OnePlus 9 Pro, getting an 82.1 score against 76.6. Both phones we compare here use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while OnePlus 9 Pro has Android 11 version, giving lots of additional features and some performance improvements. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is an way older cellphone than OnePlus 9 Pro, but it's thinner and just a little lighter anyway.
The OnePlus 9 Pro features a little bit better screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a higher 1440 x 3216 pixels resolution, a quite bigger display and a better screen pixels density. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a quite bigger memory capacity for applications and games than OnePlus 9 Pro, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB.
The OnePlus 9 Pro counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the OnePlus 9 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM. The OnePlus 9 Pro shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low-light photography and videos, it also counts with a way larger camera sensor providing a lot better image quality, a camera with a much higher 48 mega pixels resolution and a much higher video definition.
The OnePlus 9 Pro features improved battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 22 percent larger battery size.
