Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A12, having a overall score of 82.1 against 80.3. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star design is somewhat thinner and a bit lighter than the Samsung Galaxy A12, even though it was released many years before. Both phones in our current comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy A12 has Android 10, providing the user some nice extra features and performance tweaks.

The Galaxy A12's processor is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star one, and although the Galaxy A12 has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores. Galaxy A8 Star counts with just a bit better looking display than Galaxy A12, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2220px and a higher pixel density.

Samsung Galaxy A12 has more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A12 also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 1 TB. The Samsung Galaxy A12 has better battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.

The Galaxy A12 has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy A12 also counts with a back camera with a lot higher resolution.
